In 2023, we participated for the first time in the Nature is Bike Festival in Angers. A wonderfully relaxing multi-day gravel event in the Pay des Loire. But you do not need a festival to discover the area. Cycle with us past vineyards, through dark forests, endless gravel lanes, past picturesque villages and on quiet country roads. Experience this unique region with its castles, splendid food and lovely wines.
The daily programme shown below is subject to changes. It is just an example. Routes will be determined based on the composition of the group.
Today you check into the hotel, time to explore the beautiful old town of Angers. In the evening, we dine together to get acquainted in advance.
Today we will start exploring the Angers area, already cycling some parts of the weekend's routes but also going off the beaten track for some nice surprises. The distance today is between 50 and 70 kilometres.
We descend along the Loire. And we become acquainted with the most beautiful gravel roads. You pass bridges, pretty villages and castles. Along the way, you will enjoy the beautiful nature and quiet gravel roads.
Today it's serious cycling, we opt for a more challenging route with climbs and descents. Sometimes a bit of singletrack but mostly nice gravel roads.
One last day of gravelling. We laid out another beautiful route as a finale.
Unfortunately, the journey is over. We'll see you off in the morning. Of course, if you want to stay longer or do another round of cycling, that's possible too.
